CMRTA announces holiday closings

The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA) would like to remind riders that service will be not be operating on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2012, or on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2013. CMRTA will run regular service both on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

 

“We wish our riders, drivers, staff and their families a very safe and happy holiday,” said Dr. Bob Schneider, executive director of CMRTA.

 

Following the Christmas holiday, service will begin running again on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, and following New Year’s Day, service will resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. For a complete listing of holiday closings, routes and time schedules, please visit the CMRTA website at www.goCMRTA.com or pick up a map/schedule at the CMRTA Transit Center located at the corner of Laurel and Sumter Streets. Also as a reminder, the CMRTA offers riders All-Day passes for only $3.50. The All-Day pass allows riders access to all fixed route service for only $3.50 per day.
