The YMCA of Columbia has selected Vance J. Bettis, Senior Litigation Partner at Gignilliat Savitz & Bettis LLP, as the new President of its Metropolitan Board of Directors. Bettis was appointed to the position, which carries a two-year term, on May 23, 2013, during the YMCA of Columbia’s annual meeting. He succeeds Bruce T. Williams, Vice President of BB&T – Boyle Vaughan Insurance, who completed his term as President.

South Carolina associate men’s head golf coach Don Hill has accepted the head coaching position at Elon University, Elon Athletics Director Dave Blank announced Monday.

Hill takes over for longtime Phoenix coach Bill Morningstar, who retired after 41 years with the school.
