All USC student-athletes featured in Gamecock Walk Thursday | Sports & Recreation
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Fans at the University of South Carolina football game Thursday will get a chance to see all of the university's student-athletes at the Gamecock Walk.
As part of Gamecock Club Appreciation Day Thursday, student-athletes and coaches from all of South Carolina's varsity athletic teams have been invited to participate in the Gamecock Walk. They will lead the football team down The Garnet Way inside Gamecock Park, which is the site of the former SC State Farmer's Market.
The Gamecock Walk will begin at about 3:30 p.m. and will follow the same path as the Gamecock football team.
Thursday is Gamecock Club Appreciation Day. The Gamecock Club tent will be inside Gamecock Village. It opens at 1:30 p.m.
The first 3,000 members to show their membership card will receive a limited-edition car flag. The Gamecock Club tent is the only location to pick up a Gamecock Club Appreciation Day commemorative rally towel.
Gamecock Park parking lots open at Noon, while other athletic department lots - the Fairgrounds, Armory, ETV and the Stadium, will open at 1 p.m.
Nashville singer-songwriter and Camden native Patrick Davis plays in the Gamecock Park amphitheater from 3-5 p.m.
The Gamecocks kick off against North Carolina at 6 p.m. It will be televised live on ESPN.
